While it was said in the context of Ultramarathon running, I think it also relates incredibly to the preaching event.

When I was in the high school, the youth group was put in charge of a Sunday service and I got to give a little sermon. I thought I would just let the Holy Spirit speak through me when the time came. I don't recall what I said being good. With preparation, it would have been much better.
